The Invar Watch Company was founded in 1901 by Achille Hirsch in Le Chaux de Fonds, but the name was not registered until 1925. La Chaux-de-Fonds is sometimes called “Watch City” because it is home to so much watchmaking history. It is said that “Chaux-de-Fonnier” factories produced half of the world’s watches in the first half of the 20th century! It’s no surprise that some historic sites are forgotten, but the Palais Invar deserves a closer look: It was one of the most recognizable buildings in La Chaux-de-Fonds for most of the 20th century, housing brands like Montre-Invar, Alpha, Venus, Le Phare, Sultana, and Jean d’Eve, and it was home to the first Salon Suisse de l’Horlogerie in 1933. This watch has case with two rear cover - external and internal.
The presence of the inner lid - this is a good protection for mechanism from dust and to provide added protection fromshock and moisture.
This watch has originalgold plated HIGHER-QUALITY movementwithBi-MetallicMicrometerRegulator & Blue Breguet Balance Spring, alsomovement is brand stampINVAR.
The watchhas beautiful original white porcelain dial in excellent condition.
Dome glass isplastic (Plexiglass).

The wrist watch was serviced and now is in very good and fully working condition.

New leather watchband is added in a gift.
